(OPINION) ETH – A pro-Israel Facebook page, called “the Jerusalem Prayer Team”, has been removed from Facebook after being flooded by anti-Semitic posts from radical Islamists.

According to CBN News, The pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel posts had reportedly targeted the prayer page which was the largest pro-Israel Facebook site in the world. It was also the largest Facebook site on religion in general with 78 million followers. According to the report, Michael Evans II, who officially owns the Jerusalem Prayer Page, told CBN that Facebook has taken it down.

Evans stated that the Jerusalem Prayer Team’s website is still up since the Facebook version is no longer available. According to details of the report, Evans had been hosting a global prayer event daily to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and on Thursday,

May 13th alone the site had gained one million engagements and 43 million impressions with a great number of people posting anti-Israel statements and pictures, attacking the site, including 790,000 comments viewed.
