(ETH) – If you live in DC and the worst-case scenario plays out you could see another three months before you come out of lockdown. According to NBC Washington, D.C. leaders are trying to come to an agreement on a new timetable Wednesday evening for when the city should begin to reopen. During an hourlong virtual town hall meeting, Dr. LaQuandra Nesbitt, the director of D.C. Department of Health demonstrated a slide show on what she called a “most-stringent” and “less stringent” plan.

In a worst-case scenario, D.C. would not be able to reopen for at least another three months, according to Nesbitt.  Under the best-case scenario, the city would do a phased reopening, but wouldn’t begin for at least two months. Right now, D.C.’s stay-at-home order is set to expire on May 15th. Nesbitt said the city needs more data to decide how long that may need to be extended.
