(Mirror) – They’re some of the most popular social media apps in the world, but it seems that Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp have all crashed this afternoon. According to DownDetector, the issues started at around 14:49 BST, and are affecting users across the UK and parts of the US. The reason for the outage remains unclear, although 82% of those who reported problems with Instagram said the issue was with the News
Feed, 11% with the website, and 6% with log-in. Meanwhile, over on Facebook, the main problem seems to lie in displaying photos, with many users seeing the code in place of pictures. Facebook, which owns the three sites, is yet to comment on the issue. Many users have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations at the outage. One user wrote: “Oh yay.
