Cusick, a former Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy chaplain corps and a priest from the Washington, D.C. area, received incredible pushback and criticism after he asked “ladies” to cover their shoulders. “Ladies,” Father Cusick wrote, “a priest I know was forced on Sunday to ask a woman at Mass to cover her shoulders.
