OPINION (Express) – Iran will overcome “inhumane and illegal” sanctions by teaming up with nations “who are equally sick tired of bullying by the US”, according to the Islamic Republic’s foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. Mr. Zarif’s defiant message came as Iranians mark Nowruz – the coming of spring and the first day of the Persian new year. He told followers on his Twitter account: “It testifies to
the character, spirit, and magnanimity of our people that they celebrate amid unprecedented, inhuman and illegal sanctions and pressures.” Mr. Zarif continued: “Indeed, despite the medieval tactics employed by the US to destroy their livelihoods, they are unwavering in their sense of hope. “This is of course not new.
