When he fired down on tens of thousands of people at a music festival from his 32nd floor hotel room, Stephen Paddock unleashed mayhem and caused carnage. Tragically, 58 people were killed in his horrific attack and another 489 injured, but it has emerged there may have been an additional target in his scope. Citing a “knowledgeable source”, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports Paddock also fired on aviation tanks containing highly flammable fuel at the airport across from the Mandalay Bay Resort.

Bullet holes have been discovered in the two circular white tanks, the news outlet stated, but did not manage to penetrate them completely. It spared the 22,000-strong crowd at the adjacent Route 91 Harvest country music festival from a potentially enormous and devastating explosion.“Within the past couple of days, construction crews repaired and painted the holes, and FBI agents inspected the tanks and took measurements of the line of fire from Mandalay Bay,” the Las Vegas Review-Journal said.
