DEVELOPING: Andrews Air Force Base on lockdown, report of active shooter

Joint Base Andrews is currently on lockdown, following reports of an active shooter around 9 a.m. Thursday, the base said on its official social media accounts. On its official Twitter page, the base ordered all personnel to shelter in place.

On Facebook, a post said the incident was ongoing at the Malcolm Grow Medical Facility, which is on the base. “The base was scheduled to conduct an active shooter exercise, however, reports of a real-world active shooter situation were reported at Malcolm Grow medical facility,” the base said.
