“We have been robbed.” It’s the most common reaction Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries hears from Christians exposed to Jewish religious traditions. For many believers, participating in events such as a Passover Seder is like discovering an unknown part of their own heritage. Pastor Biltz is part of a growing movement of Christian believers who incorporate Jewish traditions into their own worship and who argue such practices have great meaning both for believers and for God Himself.

And if last weekend is any indication, Passover may soon become as significant to Christians as it is to Jews. Biltz hosted a Passover Seder attended by more than 1,500 people at the Greater Tacoma Convention & Trade Center. Eight states were represented at the gathering as well as several other nations, with people coming from as far away as Canada and Costa Rica. There was also a sizable Russian contingent.
