Ellen DeGeneres, an outspoken lesbian who married longtime girlfriend Portia de Rossi in 2008, has disinvited popular gospel singer Kim Burrell from her television show after Burrell preached a sermon about the sin of homosexuality. “For those asking, Kim Burrell will not be appearing on my show,” DeGeneres tweeted on Tuesday.  In addition to hosting her TV show, DeGeneres is also a top spokeswoman for Cover Girl cosmetics.

Burrell had been slated to sing “I See A Victory” from the “Hidden Figures” film soundtrack with Pharrell Williams on “Ellen” this Thursday, but Deadline Hollywood reports Williams will now perform the song on his own.
