(OPINION) In a recent episode of her podcast, Pretty Intense, Danica Patrick discussed the concepts of religion, archaeology, and history with Josh Gates. An American TV host and producer, Josh Gates, talked about a myriad of topics with her. The 157th episode on Patrick’s channel was titled ‘Ayahuasca, Paranormal Activity, Aliens, Ancient Civilizations.’

While discussing the historical background of Moses, Gates put forth a question. He asked, “Was Moses a real person?” His intention was to know why there aren’t many historical traces of his existence. In a quest to unearth the truth, Gates mentioned that he has an episode on his show, ‘Expedition Unknown’ that talks about the ‘Mysteries of Moses’.

Continuing his questions surrounding various religious figures, the American television presenter put forth another interesting dilemma. He asked, “Okay, if there was a Moses like where’s he buried? There are multiple places that claim to be the tomb of Moses in the world.”

Intrigued by the question, Danica Patrick immediately said, “I mean s**t! We don’t even know where Jesus is really buried. I mean there’s a theory that he might be in India, right? There’s a theory he died in India due to old age.”

Confirming that there are theories like these doing rounds, Gates said, “The other day somebody emailed me this whole thing about the life of Jesus in India.”

Explaining how these things are fascinating and difficult to study, Gates talked about how he tackles it in his show. He said, “So, exactly these are the fascinating things that we dig into. Looking at these stories and figuring out not just fact from fiction but like what does archaeological record show? What does history show?”

He also stated that it was difficult to find the truth for many reasons. He said, “Look, I mean whenever you deal with… especially things like the arc or Jesus, you’re treading into an area of faith too. So, yeah it’s also this question of like you have to be really cautious and diplomatic about how you approach those things.” Fascinated by Gates’ take on Moses, Danica Patrick jokingly asked him, “What about the burning bush? Do you think that he was just high?” READ MORE
