Two new blasts have been heard in eastern Ukraine just hours after a car bomb saw the mass evacuation of 700,000 civilians from the region amid fears of a looming Russian attack in the country.

The explosions, which have been ‘linked to a gas pipeline’, were heard in the Russian separatist city of Luhansk in eastern Ukraine, one of the main cities in Ukraine’s breakaway region of People’s Republic of Luhansk, according to reports. The latest blasts come just hours after an explosion, which was claimed to be a car bomb, rocked Donetsk in what appeared to be the start of Putin’s long-awaited false flag operation.

Tonight President Joe Biden said he was ‘convinced’ that Russian President Vladimir Putin had decided to launch a further invasion of Ukraine, saying he had ‘reason to believe it will occur in the ‘coming days’ and will include an assault on its capital Kiev. The American leader said: ‘As of this moment I’m convinced he’s made the decision. We have reason to believe that.’ The US President cited the United States ‘significant intelligence capability for the assessment.

Mirror went further to say that Biden says he has reason to believe Russia plans to imminently attack Ukraine and capture its capital Kyiv. UK Government officials are also reportedly certain Putin – who will watch nuclear missile tests tomorrow – will order Kremlin forces to attack.

It comes after Russia’s defense ministry insisted that some of their troops had pulled back from the Ukrainian border. However, the US and UK claimed Russia had actually boosted its forces with extra troops. In a televised speech today, Biden said: “We have reason to believe the Russian forces are planning to and intend to attack Ukraine in the coming week, in the coming days.

After weeks of saying the U.S. wasn’t sure if Putin had made the final decision to invade, Biden said that assessment had changed, citing American intelligence.

“As of this moment I’m convinced he’s made the decision,” Biden said. “We have reason to believe that.” He reiterated that the assault could occur in the “coming days.” Meanwhile, the Kremlin announced massive nuclear drills to flex its military muscle, and Putin pledged to protect Russia’s national interests against what it sees as encroaching Western threats.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is insistent that Russia is laying the groundwork to justify starting a war and preparing to launch an attack on Ukraine in the coming days, urging Moscow to change course at a tense United Nations Security Council meeting Thursday.

Blinken changed his travel plans so he could speak Thursday’s UN meeting, where the top US diplomat said he was detailing US intelligence about Russia’s attempts to fabricate a pretext for an invasion in an attempt to “influence Russia to abandon the path of war and choose a different path while there’s still time.”
