(ETH) – A man has been left furious after being arrested for refusing a temperature screening at Disney Springs in Florida. According to the report from NBC, the man even told authorities that he couldn’t be arrested and told to leave because he had just spent $15,000 on his vacation to the resort.
Kelly Sills, who was a tourist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, reportedly bypassed the Orlando attraction’s medical screeningback in February refusing to get his temperature checked after being asked by Disney employees. Police released body camera video of the incident that showed Sills refusing to leave the park when asked by law enforcement.
“I spent $15,000 to come here,” Sills said after a deputy told him that he was officially considered to be trespassing. Sills was approached by both deputies and a security manager at Disney Springs outside the Boathouse restaurant, according to the official police report.
The report cited that Sills continued to argue with the security manager, yelling at him, before the manager told him he was “no longer welcome at the park today.” A woman who was a bystander could be heard in the video asking officers not to arrest Sills. “He’s not listening,” a man responded. “All he had to do was get temperature-checked. That’s it.”
