(OPINION) ETH – According to one Bible Prophecy teacher, the Antichrist will arise in the time of the end to proclaim himself as the true Messiah and his arrival will coincide with the construction of a Third Holy Temple in Jerusalem, which many believe will set in motion the “end of the world”. According to Express, A Professor Tom Meyer, a Bible expert better known as “The Bible Memory Man”, says the Antichrist will rise from a revived Roman Empire.
Meyer claims that “According to Bible prophecy, in the end times there will be a future Roman Empire which will be consolidated into what could be ten countries, similar to the structure of the modern-day European Union. “From this power structure a ‘little horn’ or mysterious and otherwise unknown politician of tremendous strength will rise to power and with lightning speed begin his military takeover of the world.”
According to Express, Professor Meyer is a college lecturer and public speaker who has memorized more than 20 books from the Bible. Meyer says this future Antichrist will broker a peace treaty between Israel and “its enemies” and that this seven-year peace treaty will unfold in the 70th week of Daniel or half-way through what is known as the Tribulation.
In the traditional Christian belief, the Tribulation is a period of intense global devastation preceding the end of the world. Professor Meyer states: “Halfway through the seven-year peace plan, the Antichrist will be assassinated, presumably at his headquarters in Jerusalem.
“His assassination also marks the halfway point of the seven-year Tribulation which culminates with the Second Coming of Christ. “Then, according to Scripture, the Antichrist’s pseudo-Prophet will breathe life into the wounded and lifeless body of the Antichrist and raise him from the dead in Jerusalem.
“At this point, the resurrected Antichrist will proclaim himself to be the true Messiah in the yet-to-be-constructed third Jewish Temple and require all men to worship him as God in the flesh.”
According to Professor Meyer identifying the Antichrist will be extremely difficult and that all of humanity will be forced to be branded with the Antichrist’s official seal of 666. He said: “You will not be able to buy or sell anything without this mark, perhaps embedded, in your forehead or right hand.
“The Bible states that the correct identification of the Antichrist is extremely difficult but possible and worthy of pursuit.” Professor Meyer states that “Even though the real Antichrist will not proclaim himself to be the risen Christ until the middle of the seven-year peace deal he brokers between Israel and its enemies, he could be alive and well today, perhaps working his way up the political ranks of the final Gentile world power structure.
According to Meyer, Biblical prophecy has made it possible to identify him by calculating the numerical value of his name in common Greek, 666. Meyer states that according to Bible prophecy he is not a Jew but must be of the same nationality as the people who destroyed the Second Temple in 70 AD. stating that Meyer believes that the Antichrist will be a Gentile of Roman origin.
As always, they never accurately reveal the identity of the antichrist when for two thousand years it has been clearly and unequivocally recorded in the scriptures.
Luke 10:18, take the scripture and translate it to hebrew. In essence, Jesus said, I beheld satan fall from the heavens or high place as a bolt of lightening. If you convert Lightening and heavens or high place to hebrew, you get. “baraq” for the word lightening and “bammah” for high place. Phonetically, you get a name we all recognize. Just sayin’.
Seriously? Bible expert? The Roman prince (Daniel 9) is not the antichrist, but the false prophet. He is the one who requires everyone worship and receive the mark and calls down fire.
The deadly wound is not an attack on a new antichrist. It’s a King who’s already lived. The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. (Rev 17:8) The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. (Rev 17:11)
Can any pre-trib people think beyond the long-exposed bad teachings of Hal Lindsay?
The “Holy Bible,” says nothing about a “third” temple being built. When Jesus entered the second temple for the last time before the crucifixion, He said to the Jewish leaders as He was leaving, “See! Your house is left to you desolate;” (Mat 23:38) Jesus having previously called the temple, …”My house…” in (Mat 21:13).
Jesus is now ministering for us, in the heavenly temple. “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus(1 Ti 2:5). Before Jesus death the temple on the earth, was local, literal, and in Jerusalem. Now the temple on earth is spiritual and worldwide, The temple on the earth now is of the heart and mind of each believer in Jesus Christ.
“If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. (1 Cor 3:17) “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? (1 Cor 6:19)
The devil, “Who deceives the whole world…” wants to take our thoughts and eyes off of Jesus, and His work for us in the heavenly temple. He wants our thoughts to be placed on man and an earthly temple. to delude us, but not help our salvation. The devil wants to be the cause of our destruction. Be assured that a temple in Jerusalem will be of Satan’s deception, and not of our Lord, if erected. A third temple is not biblical.
Let us put our treasure in heaven, where God and our Lord Jesus will keep it safe for us. Let us remember to focus our eyes on Jesus our High Priest in the heavenly temple, from which all of God’s end time work emanates, through Christ Jesus. May we allow God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, to do Their work, of lifting a fallen race up from the degradation of thousands of years of sin, and free us from the clutches of the great deceiver. That we all together, in Their presence, may eat again the fruit from the tree of life in God’s garden.
We all are saved individually by faith in Jesus. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. (2 Co 5:10)
