(ETH) – Many Phoenix residents reported seeing a bright meteor soaring across the sky on Wednesday night and the event was even captured on city cameras. According to a local affiliate out of Phoneix, the city cameras in downtown captured the fireball flying across the sky to the north of Phoneix.

According to the American Meteor Society’s website, the organization received over 30 reports of this event in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Utah. “This is the best time of the month to view meteor activity as the moon will not be a factor at all,” according to this week’s outlook from American Meteor Society.
