DEVELOPING: (ETH) – A powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake has just struck Jamaica according to the United States Geological Survey. The epicenter was reportedly located 117km northwest of Lucea, Jamaica at a depth of 10 km.

There are widespread reports of people feeling the shaking throughout Jamaica and building evacuations are underway. The coasts of Jamaica, Cuba and the Cayman Islands could face “hazardous tsunami waves” following a 7.3 to 7.6 earthquake in the Caribbean Sea, warns the USGS
