(ETH) – A church congregation in Ghana is furious after discovering their pastor and shepherd reportedly used the church’s tithe money to buy himself a brand new Range Rover. According to reports, the pastor used a very familiar technique associated with the hyper prosperity gospel in which he continuously asked his church congregation to give their tithe to receive more blessings.
But it appears that the Church did not benefit from the tithe of the congregation but instead the pastor was able to walk away with a new Range Rover instead. The report indicates that the congregation grew weary of sowing their tithe and getting nothing in return and confronted the pastor by assaulting him. Sadly, this happens more than we know in Churches around the World, Especially in America.
What about all the stories out of Ghana and United States of those that were compelled to empty their bank accounts, give car keys, 401 savings, retirement, houses, entire pay check. I saw it all. I still help those through my non-profit that lost everything. It’s much worse than this article. We lost things too. Evangelists and Pastors purchased 5ok rolex, cars, open banks, rings, you name it they purchased it. When congregant goes to church to ask for pamper and food money they get turned down.
