The Catholic Diocese of Las Cruces has made some progress investigating a Virgin Mary sculpture in a Hobbs, New Mexico church that appears to be weeping. Bishop Oscar Cantú of the diocese — which spans all of southern New Mexico, including Hobbs — said Friday a sample of the fluid collected from the sculpture was sent for chemical analysis.
“And we determined it was olive oil, a scented olive oil,” he said. “Some of the witnesses claimed it smelled of roses, so something similar to the oil I bless and consecrate each year that we use for baptism, for confirmations and for the ordination of the priests.” The fact it is olive oil doesn’t preclude the occurrence from being deemed a church miracle. You called this a “lying hoax” when first reported in July. Now when the results of a scientific investigation show that IT IS olive oil with the sent of roses, it is “lying signs and wonders”. Obviously, even before the investigation, you decided it was either a hoax or a downright lie.
Over 50 websites have published this story without calling it a “hoax” or “lie”. It was given as a great grace to enhance the faith of believers. You have shut yourselves completely off from receiving such graces. There is a well established documented history of weeping icons and statues which weep oil or blood type AB, same blood type as the Shroud of Turin. Google it.
These are end times signs sent only by GOD which your website cannot accept and therefore remains incurably nearsighted.
