The Israeli military on Thursday began its final preparations for a major air defense exercise with the United States, which is set to kick off at the beginning of next month, the army said. While the Juniper Cobra exercise, which was first held in 2001, is scheduled every two years, it comes at a time of growing tension between Israel and Iran and the Iranian proxy Hezbollah. This year’s exercise simulates a massive ballistic missile attack against Israel and is also meant to improve ties between the two armies.
The exercise will largely be performed through advanced computer simulations, though it will also include some real-world activities. In total, some 4,500 soldiers from the two militaries will take part in the exercise — 2,500 of them from the United States’ European Command (US EUCOM) and 2,000 from the Israel Defense Forces. What we are witnessing today is the fulfillment of parts of Isaiah 11. Verse 12 states: “And He (G-D) shall set up an ensign for the nations”…..the “ensign” is the U.S. Constitutional government that is established and maintained for the rights and protection of all flesh, according to just and holy principles. It is not right that any man should be in bondage one to another. For this purpose G-D established the Constitution of this great land, by the hands of wise men whom G-D raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood. (D&C 101:77-80). Verse 13 states: “The envy of Ephraim (United States) shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah (aka “Israel”) shall be cut off . Ephraim (U.S.) shall not envy Judah (“Israel”), and Judah shall not vex Ephraim (U.S.). Verse 14 states: But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together; they shall lay their hand upon Ammon, Edom and Moab (Jordan); and the children of Ammon (Jordan) shall obey them.”
