Evangelist Franklin Graham issued an urgent call to prayer for Kim Davis as she prepares for a feisty election.  The Kentucky clerk will face off against David Ermold in the May 2018 election, but this isn’t the first time the two have met. Davis refused to issue Ermold a marriage license to wed his partner in 2015. “I think we need to deal with the circumstances and the consequences of what happened,” Ermold says. “I don’t think the other candidates are looking at a larger message. I have an obligation here, really, to do this and to set things right.” Despite the pressure, Davis refuses to back away from her religious

convictions and has the support of many evangelicals behind her—including Graham. “Remember Kim Davis? She is the county clerk who wanted to be able to do her job without signing same-sex marriage licenses. Well, the gay man whose license she would not sign back in 2015 was recently back in her office, sitting across the desk from her.
