LifeWay Christian Resources is pulling Jen Hatmaker’s books from its shelves after the author and former HGTV star caused quite a stir earlier this week by expressing approval for gay marriage and the LGBT lifestyle. “In the past, LifeWay Christian Resources published several resources with Jen Hatmaker,” the Southern Baptist-led company said in a statement.
“In a recent interview, she voiced significant changes in her theology of human sexuality and the meaning and definition of marriage — changes which contradict LifeWay’s doctrinal guidelines.” During a discussion with Religion News Service columnist Jonathan Merritt this week, Hatmaker asserted that “any two adults have the right to choose who they want to love” and are entitled to “the same legal protections as any of us.” She continued: FULL REPORT
You see that’s where people get it wrong. We are not our own, we belong to the most high God who created us with a purpose. The BIBLE says that God created Adam and Eve, two women can’t multiply, two men can’t multiply. Stop getting upset with people for being obedient to God’s word. Or those who don’t support the gay lifestyle. If you have an issue with it, take it up with God and that will be a battle you can’t win.
First of all, WHY were her books on the shelf in the FIRST place, LifeWay? Did you not think to investigate the authors of your material before putting them on your shelves? It’s often not overtly in-your-face evils that end up inn books, but rather subtle, covert, half-truths that Satan uses to slowly undermine and degrade a believer’s faith and biblical understanding.
Someone once said “If God doesn’t punish America for homosexual social behavior, He owes apology to Sodam&Gomorrah” and I believe we are living in “Last days” prophisized in Revolations. I am ready for the end!
