A frantic search is underway for a West Virginia toddler who was swept away in floodwaters caused by heavy thunderstorms in the area Thursday that claimed the life of another 8-year-old boy. Emergency Management and 911 Director Walter Smittle told the Associated Press a boy who is 2 to 4 years old was swept away in floodwaters behind some homes in Ravenswood, West Virginia,
located in the southwest part of the state. Smittle said the small stream flows into the Sandy Creek, which empties into the Ohio River. He said searchers have been looking since about 4:30 p.m. for the child, whose name hasn’t been released. READ MORE
