Instability still hangs over Moscow’s exact aims in regards to its aviation based armed forces flights over the Golan near Israel’s fringe – even following two days of discourses on coordination finished in Tel Aviv Thursday, Oct. 8 between the Russian Deputy Chief of Staff Gen. Nikolay Bogdanovsky and his Israeli partner Maj. Gen. Yair Golan. A coordination system between the two aviation based armed forces was left as unfinished business for further talk, DEBKAfile’s military sources report. So it is still not clear to Israel what should happen if Russian fighters and bombers enter the Syrian-Israeli outskirt region and slip over into Israeli airspace.
The respective talks left Israel with the feeling that this was a particular plausibility.
