Winter Storm Remus Takes Aim at South, States of Emergency Declared

Here we go again! Relentless Winter Storms continue to pound the U.S as yet another Winter Storm named Remus is forecast to deal yet another wintry blow across the South this week, sending governments, schools and families into a scramble to prepare. At least two states — Alabama and Georgia — are declaring a state of emergency. Remus comes on the heels of Winter Storm Quantum, which left the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex a sheet of ice Monday and created accidents on snow-slicked roads during Tuesday’s morning commute from north Georgia into North Carolina.
