The Satanic Temple cancelled their plans for an after-school club in a Washington state school district. “It’s a relief to everybody in this room,” Centennial Elementary School Principal Erwin Stroosma said, while applause broke out. The Mount Vernon School District has school-sponsored activities in the space requested by the club and would not allow the club to meet until several hours after school.
Satanists previously announced their after-school activities at the start of the school year. The Satanic Temple planned to send out a letter August 1 to demand their After School Satan Club be offered to youngsters in juxtaposition to the evangelistic Good News Club. FULL REPORT
