Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov announced his country’s position on Sunday at a donor conference for Gaza that drew representatives from 50 nations, including US Secretary of State John Kerry. Both Russia and the US are permanent members of the 15 nations that comprise the UN Security Council and both countries have veto power.
