(OPINION) On January 20, former President Donald Trump announced his return to the White House, stating that he believes God saved him from death to lead the country into what he referred to as the “golden age of America.”
During his remarks, he expressed confidence that the United States would become the “envy of every nation” under his leadership and emphasized his commitment to prioritizing American interests.
Trump outlined ambitious plans, including the goal of sending American astronauts to Mars to “plant the stars and stripes.”
He declared, “The golden age of America begins right now,” asserting that the nation would soon be “greater, stronger, and far more exceptional than ever before.”
He also acknowledged the difficulties faced on the journey to reclaim the republic, claiming that he had been “tested and challenged” more than any other president in U.S. history.
Trump says the election has given him “a mandate to completely and totally reverse a horrible betrayal” he says has taken place, “and to give the people back their faith, their wealth, their democracy and indeed their freedom.
From this moment on, America’s decline is over.”
