(OPINION) Even amid ongoing warfare, we are called to stand firm on the Word of God.
Pastor Greg Locke knows well the spiritual and physical attacks directed at him; he was recently targeted by a gunman. Now, he faces another spiritual assault, this time from someone attempting to place a curse on him using a voodoo doll.
During a Facebook Live session, Locke revealed how this spiritual attack originated. His wife, Tai, had sent him a picture of something she discovered on their property.
“At the end of our driveway at our new home, which we acquired about a month or month-and-a-half ago, someone had wired up a homemade voodoo doll,” Locke explained.
“It was complete with an upside-down cross hanging from the bottom.” The doll was constructed with hair and was affixed to the Lockes’ fence.
Rather than succumbing to fear, Locke decisively chose to burn the doll, sending it back to the depths of hell from which it came, while also urging the person who performed this act to repent.
“Our family is covered by the blood of Jesus Christ from head to toe,” Locke stated. “This property is protected by the blood of Jesus and by the hosts of God’s angelic armies. This voodoo witchcraft nonsense isn’t going to stop us in the slightest.”
Locke reaffirmed his mission to continue preaching, loving others, being generous, praying, fasting, prophesying, casting out evil spirits, and rebuking the demonic.
“Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world,” he declared. “This witchcraft won’t deter us. We send this curse back to the sender. We do not accept this voodoo nonsense. No sickness shall come near our dwelling. We reject it. You can try a thousand times, and it won’t work.”
“We’re not going to die, we’re not going to be sick. We have the power of the Holy Ghost within us. Our church will not fail; we will continue and be victorious.
Regardless of what detractors may say, we’re not going anywhere anytime soon.” Locke then set the voodoo doll on fire, asserting that he will not fear these witchcraft attacks because Jesus is Lord.
