One company is working to make it even easier for people to procure ammunition for their firearms.
American Rounds is bringing 24/7 vending machines stocked with ammunition to grocery stores in the United States, ensuring “you can buy ammunition on your own schedule, free from the constraints of store hours and long lines,” according to the company’s website.
So far the vending machines — which require a buyer to show an ID and be at least 21 years old — have already been placed in multiple grocery stores across Alabama and Oklahoma. The company explained their kiosks use a facial recognition software that verifies a person is who they say.
Grant Magers, chief executive officer of American Rounds, told KOCO in Oklahoma that based on state requirements, the company does keep data on customer transactions, although they do not share the information.
The kiosks sell a variety of rounds and, there is reportedly no limit on the amount one can purchase at a time.
The company is looking to expand its vending machines to other states.
