Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned fellow nations and allies in the Middle East that they “will be next” to be targeted by the “axis of evil” for retribution. Earlier in October Netanyahu described that axis as “Iran, Hezbollah, and their minions” in a speech to the Knesset.
Netanyahu spoke with reporters on Saturday for the first time since the start of the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas. Netanyahu vowed to unleash the Israeli military to engage in a long ground war for the Gaza strip, noting that this was their “second war of independence.”
The conflict started earlier this month when Hamas launched a surprise attack against Israel and started killing, torturing, and capturing civilians. In response, Gaza city has been cut off from water and power as well as met with precision airstrikes.
“They use the population as human shields and as providers of the fuel,” Netanyahu noted speaking of Hamas. “Everyone around understanding now what we always said. We are fighting the humanity war. Our humane war against against the barbarians.”
He added, “Our allies in the Western world and our allies in the Arab world understand today that if Israel is not going to win today, they are going to be next in the axis of evil.” The Israeli Prime Minister then noted that the their military actions going forward as the backing of its allies in the West.
“From the beginning of the war, we managed to have international support from leaders USA, Biden, prime minister of Britain, France, Germany, Greece and Cyprus and other leaders,” he continued. “They came to us at the times of war and they have a clear message. We are not just supporting you. We are waiting for your victory. We are blessing you.”
