(OPINION) After The Babylon Bee and Charlie Kirk caught Twitter bans for posting that Biden’s assistant Health and Human Services secretary Rachel Levine is a “man,” Tucker Carlson was censored by Twitter for pointing out that both the Bee and Kirk were telling the truth.

His tweet, in defense of Kirk and the Bee, is no longer available on Twitter because it “violates the Twitter rules.” Carlson shared screenshots of both the Bee’s and Kirk’s suspension, saying “But wait. Both these tweets are true.” Twitter, apparently, is not in the business of truth, but instead in the business of censorship.

Charlie Kirk was banned for saying “Richard Levine spent 54 years of his life as a man. He had a wife and family. He ‘transitioned’ to being a woman in 2011, Joe Biden appointed Levine to be a 4-Star Admiral, and now USA Today has named ‘Rachel’ Levine as a ‘Woman of the Year'[.] Where are the feminists??”

Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon is questioning why Twitter won’t simply delete a post from The Bee’s account — a tweet the social media giant alleges violated its “hateful conduct” policies. Dillon believes the ultimatum to delete the message or risk losing access to crucial Twitter features is about forcing The Babylon Bee to “bend the knee” and admit they were wrong. And that’s something he’s unwilling to do.

“To require us to go in there and delete the tweet and affirm that we engage in hateful conduct — I mean, how can you expect us to do that?” Dillon told CBN’s Faithwire. “They’re more than welcome to delete that tweet if they want to. It’s their platform. But why should we have to do it? They just want us to bend the knee.”

As Faithwire previously reported, The Babylon Bee was locked out of Twitter over the weekend due to a post about U.S. Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine, a biological male who identifies as female. Meanwhile, Twitter has taken action against The Christian Post’s account in response to a tweet that said Rachel Levine, a trans-identified Biden official, is a man.

In an alert emailed to CP on Sunday, the social media giant notified the Christian news publication that the tweet violated its policy against what it deems as “hateful conduct” by stating a biological fact and has “temporarily limited some” features of the account, including the ability to post new articles.

Other limitations include being unable to like, follow, or retweet posts. Twitter also told CP that the restrictions could be lifted 12 hours after deleting the tweet about Levine, the assistant secretary for health in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

CP posted the news article titled, “USA Today names Rachel Levine among its ‘Women of the Year’” on its social media accounts last Tuesday. A trans-identified member of the Biden administration, Levine was born male and went by his birth name of Richard before deciding to self-identify as a woman.
