(ETH) – A pastor who is running for U.S. Senate in Georgia has claimed in a recent podcast interview that abortion is “consistent with” his beliefs as a minister and is vowing to fight to keep it legal if he wins the election.
According to the Christian Post, Reverand. Raphael Warnock who serves as the senior pastor of Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church, where both Martin Luther King Sr. and Martin Luther King Jr. served as pastors and is also a Democrat running in the special election to finish the remainder of Republican Sen.
Johnny Isakson’s unfinished term recently made the comments during an appearance on WGAU host Tim Bryant’s “Mission: Timpossible” podcast last Thursday. On Bryant’s podcast, Warnock was asked how the Democratic Party’s support for abortion rights fits with his role as a “minister, a leader of the church, (and) a man of God.”
Warnock responded to Bryant’s question by declaring that he believes that health care is a “human right” and “something that the richest nation in the world provides for its citizens.” “And for me, reproductive justice is consistent with my commitment to that,” he stated.
“I believe unequivocally in a woman’s right to choose.” Warnock stressed that a woman’s decision to have an abortion as “something that we don’t want government engaged in,” adding that such a decision is “between her and her doctor and her minister.” “I will fight for that in the United States Senate,” he promised.
These children’s blood will be on his hands!
Having a choice to murder doesn’t give one the right to murder! We all have a choice in many things but that doesn’t always mean we have a right.
I would like to see this “pastor” respond to Proverbs 6: 16-19: There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
The Lord detests the shedding of innocent blood. This antichrist is teaching doctrines of demons.
1 Timothy 4:1
4 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
Somebody has the be the one to hear, “Depart from me…..” when that time comes; Yeshua was not talking to unbelievers there was He?
Not sure what gospel he is preaching. Pretty sure I wouldn’t set under his preaching
This gentleman is not preaching any gospel associated with Jesus.
