(The Sun) – Millions of Americans will be faced with severe weather including tornadoes as part of a powerful weather system tearing across the country. One person has died in the deadly storm after two mobile homes were destroyed by the ferocious winds hit Alabama and Tornadoes have begun to make their way across Mississippi.

The South has been warned to prepare for severe thunderstorms with the states of Alabama, Texas, Florida and Georgia on tornado watch. The fatality was announced the properties were destroyed south of Demopolis in Marengo County early this morning.

Heavy rain is expected across much of the Mississippi and Ohio River valleys today after a powerful wave of energy in the upper levels of the atmosphere pushes through. James Spann, meteorologist, said that there is a tornado on the radar northeast of Bay Springs Mississippi and could be moving to Sumter County Alabama within the next hour. FULL REPORT
