OPINION (Charisma) – Most people likely consider artificial intelligence as relatively harmless—maybe “creepy” at worst and, at best, perhaps helpful in medical and technological advances. But how many would connect the dots between AI and the arrival of the Antichrist? Pastor Mark Biltz, author of the new book, Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times: What the Bible Says and What the Future Holds, says AI is something that should be considered in the overall picture of the end times. For example, he points to these recent headlines:
- “Can a computer tell you when you’re going to die?” —Fox News
- “A Quarter of Europeans Prefer AI Government” —European Tech Insights
- “Brain implants on way to revolutionize AI for humans” —UK Daily Star
- “Creepy AI will reportedly spot shoplifters before they steal” —Fox News
- “Neuroscientist Researching Brain Chips to Make People Superintelligent” —CBS
In Decoding the Antichrist, Biltz takes an in-depth look at some of the deepest questions surrounding the Antichrist. A central theme of the book is the role of technology in our future, and even whether the Antichrist will have an artificial intelligence element. READ MORE
What a silly suggestion. The Word of GOD tells us that the AC will be a real person, the false “messiah”.
Revelation 13:12
“He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed”. A computer does not die from a fatal wound. The New King James version says “mortally wounded”. Mortal and Fatal apply to man not machine.
Just to be clear, the New Websters Dictionary says, ”
Definition of mortal
(Entry 1 of 2)
1 : causing or having caused death : fatal a mortal injury
2a : subject to death mortal man. Every living creature is mortal.
Heidi you are also correct, how can a AI machine be the false messiah? Who writes these articles?
