Magnitude 4.0 earthquake shakes up Kansas

(KWCH) – Just hours after a rare magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck off the coast of Maryland, A magnitude 4.0 earthquake has been reported about 13 miles east of Caldwell (near South Haven) Tuesday night in Sumner County. The US Geological Survey reports the earthquake registered about 9:34 p.m. at a

depth of about 2.5 kilometers. Several people in Sumner County, Harper County and south Sedgwick County reported feeling the shake. One viewer in Derby, 53 miles northeast of Caldwell, reported the force was strong enough to shake their apartment. READ MORE
