Flooding will remain the greatest concern across the southeastern United States as Alberto churns northward with an expected Memorial Day landfall on the Florida Panhandle. Governors of Florida, Mississippi and Alabama have declared states of emergencies ahead of the advancing subtropical storm. on vacation across the Southeast by unleashing widespread heavy rain. Damaging winds, isolated tornadoes and storm surge flooding are other hazards.  Alberto is expected to track onto the Florida Panhandle between Pensacola and Panama City during the late-morning hours of Memorial Day. If the storm tracks more to the north, it may move inland around Apalachicola, Florida, later Sunday night.
