76,000 people in Houston are still without power, although 96 percent of the city can still turn on the lights, according to CenterPoint. As long as roads remain impassable due to flooding, there is still no timeline for power restoration, CenterPoint said. “Please be prepared for extended power outages,” the utility said on its Twitter feed.  TNMP, which serves customers in southern Harris County, estimated that power won’t be restored until 6 p.m. on Thursday.
