For those skywatchers out there Jennifer Khordi who has been waiting for this shot for two years has just captured one of the most breath-taking images of a blood moon over New York City. Jennifer was tracking the moon and waiting for it to appear in all its glory over lower Manhattan. The New Jersey-based photographer finally seized the moment she had been longing for – and the result is breathtaking.

Using The Photographer’s Ephemeris, Khordi snapped a shot of a blood red moon just as it appeared over the Freedom Tower. ‘I calculated the trajectory of the moon from that vantage point [in New Jersey],’ she told the Daily Mail. ‘I’ve been shooting the moon for two years now and I knew the exact minute the moon would be behind the building.’ CONTINUE
