Heritage Grace Community Church in Frisco, Texas, has publicly withdrawn its endorsement of Christian YouTuber Kris Williams, known as Kris Kdub of the YouTube channel “All Things Theology,” due to allegations of an online adulterous relationship.
According to the Christian Post, the decision, announced on May 23, 2025, comes after evidence surfaced that Williams, a church member with nearly 90,000 subscribers, engaged in inappropriate online conduct, leading him to pursue a divorce from his wife.
According to a statement from the church’s pastors, Lynn Kahler and Landon Kozeny, Williams was confronted by his wife and church elders after undeniable evidence, including Discord chats and phone calls, confirmed his involvement in an online relationship with another woman.
Although there was no physical contact, the church deemed the relationship adulterous. Williams initially confessed and promised to end contact with the woman but later resumed communication, prompting further action from the church.
“The elders and another brother of HGCC were proactively keeping Kris accountable to his confession and repentance.
However, in a short time, he was contacted again by this woman, and soon after, the online chats and phone calls resumed,” the pastors stated.
The church has placed Williams under formal discipline, following the biblical process outlined in Matthew 18, which calls for confronting sin with the aim of repentance and reconciliation.
The public statement was issued due to Williams’ prominence in his online ministry, which had been associated with Heritage Grace Community Church.
The pastors emphasized that, as Williams is no longer in good standing, the church can no longer endorse or promote his ministry.
“We will continue to call him to repent from his sin, turn in faith to Christ to receive forgiveness and be reconciled,” they added, urging the church community to pray for Williams and his family.
This development follows Williams’ announcement on July 4, 2023, celebrating the adoption of his son with his wife, Tonia.
The church’s statement highlights the gravity of Williams’ actions, noting that he has left his family and is pursuing a divorce, actions that have led to his excommunication.
Justin Peters, of Justin Peters Ministries in Oklahoma, also withdrew his endorsement of Williams’ ministry, describing the allegations as “utterly heartbreaking.”
The situation has sparked discussion within Christian communities, with posts on X reflecting disappointment over Williams’ actions, particularly given his public platform.
One post noted that Williams had been “leading a double life while being platformed on other channels,” highlighting the perceived hypocrisy, especially in light of his commentary on other Christian scandals.
Heritage Grace Community Church’s decision underscores its commitment to accountability and transparency, as noted by the Evangelical Dark Web, which praised the church for its handling of the situation.
The church’s actions reflect a broader call for integrity among Christian leaders, particularly those with significant online influence.
As the story continues to unfold, the church and its supporters remain focused on praying for restoration and healing for all involved, while emphasizing the importance of aligning public ministry with personal conduct.
