A California school board meeting descended into chaos as a pro-transgender athlete activist shouted “Hail Satan!” while leaving the room, following a contentious debate over transgender inclusion in girls’ sports.

The incident, which took place at a Chino Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) meeting in San Bernardino County, has since gained widespread attention online.

The meeting focused on resolutions aimed at protecting girls’ sports and parental rights, sparking passionate arguments from both supporters and opponents of transgender athletes’ participation.

Tensions escalated as attendees clashed, with some citing religious beliefs and others defending transgender inclusion.

According to reports, one woman opposing trans inclusion on biblical grounds was removed by police, while pro-trans protesters, including some who identified as Satanists, disrupted proceedings with chants and provocative language.

CVUSD confirmed the disruptive behavior in a statement, noting that public comments included shouts of “Hail Satan!”

Local mother Christina Salazar described the atmosphere as “deeply unsettling,” alleging that a teacher from her daughter’s school was among those shouting and making offensive gestures.

“Adults behaving in a sadistic and hateful way, all in the name of equality,” Salazar told Fox News, referencing the interruption of her daughter Isabel’s speech.

Another parent, Nichole Vicario, acknowledged the presence of self-identified Satanists among the pro-trans group but praised the school board for maintaining order.

“Some individuals shouted ‘Hail Satan,’ used aggressive language, and acted inappropriately, even with children present,” Vicario said. “Yet the board stayed focused on protecting girls’ sports, not just for our community but potentially nationwide.”

CVUSD President Sonja Shaw, who has faced death threats from pro-trans activists, defended the board’s actions.

“We passed resolutions to protect girls’ sports and uphold parents’ rights to guide their children without interference from radical agendas,” Shaw stated.

The measures aim to ensure fairness in female athletics and reinforce parental authority, though critics argue they discriminate against transgender students.

The meeting reflects broader national debates over transgender participation in sports, with public opinion often divided.

A recent bipartisan survey by the Public Policy Institute of California found that 65% of adults support requiring transgender athletes to compete on teams matching their birth sex, highlighting the polarized nature of the issue.
