A former Lexington, Kentucky, pastor is accused of raping and sexually abusing a teenager.
According to an arrest citation, Zachary King, 47, admitted to detectives that he started having sex with a 15-year-old girl in January 2023 and continued the relationship until April 2024.
King told detectives he had sex with the minor at her home, his home and at LexCity Church, where he was a former executive pastor.
The arrest citation said King resigned after being confronted by church staff about his relationship with the minor.
King is charged with rape, sodomy, sexual abuse and using electronics to engage in sexual acts with a minor. He was arraigned Tuesday in a Fayette County Court where the judge set a $250,000 bond.
