Oklahoma City rocked by 4.4-magnitude earthquake in Edmond

Oklahomans woke up early Saturday morning to more shaking as another large earthquake hit the state. According to a U.S. Geological Survey report, a 4.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded at 5:36 a.m. about 4 miles east-northeast of Edmond.

The report says it could be felt throughout the Oklahoma City metro. KOCO 5 viewers messaged the newsroom early Saturday morning, saying they felt the latest earthquake.

The USGS has recorded at least 12 quakes since late Friday night, with the first hitting after 9:35 p.m. The largest was a 4.2-magnitude earthquake around 9:45 p.m. near Arcadia.
