One of the most popular Christian TV shows, “The Chosen,” has now come under fire and threats of boycott are resounding after an LGBT-themed Pride flag was featured on set during a recent promo of the upcoming season.
TPUSA Faith contributor Jon Root asked the official Twitter account Monday why a Pride flag was seen waving on set for the Season 4 promo released this week. “Can you explain why there’s a Pride flag on set?” Root asked.

“The Chosen” account responded by defending the controversial flag being on set. “Just like with our hundreds of cast and crew who have different beliefs (or no belief at all) than we do, we will work with anyone on our show who helps us portray or honor the authentic Jesus,” it wrote.

“We ask that audiences let the show speak for itself and focus on the message, not the messenger because we’ll always let you down.” Root responded by calling on Christians to boycott the show. “The Chosen” “is unapologetically promoting Pride,” Root tweeted. “Christians, avoid this show & keep them in your prayers.”
