(OPINION) Unless you’ve been living under a rock somewhere, you have probably noticed how fast our culture is deteriorating and becoming something many of us older saints have never seen or experienced in our lifetimes.
The “Good Ol Days” of wholesome and uplifting traits that we once experienced in America are nearly impossible to see anymore. The once lighthearted, fun-for-the-whole-family stories are far from new in television today.
Early classics we grew up watching like The Andy Griffith Show, Leave It to Beaver, and later sitcoms like Full House and Family Matters were once the center of family and community in a positive light have been replaced with sitcoms and programs filled with openly Gay, bi-sexual and gender fluid characters touted as the new norm in programming.
Along with this we also see everything from movies to children’s programming that openly promotes satanism, demonic possession and perversion.
One example is Disney which is now openly promoting LGBTQ propaganda without even hiding it anymore with endless rollouts of programming filled with this content but now they have even gone a step further with their latest installment on Disney+ that will actually feature a teen who falls in love with the devil and gets pregnant.
And Let’s not forget the music industry as well. We recently witnessed satan fully glorified on the Grammys with the openly demonic performance by Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ “Unholy”.
The Devil is now in full front and center in movies, TV shows, podcasts, and even children’s books. He has become the lead object of worship in this present age. Hundreds of Satanists recently converged in Boston’s Copley Square for the second annual SatanCon with some saying it was the largest-ever gathering of Satanists.
At this event, a group of Satanists cheered as two of their leaders opened the event with a formal ceremony renouncing “symbols of oppression” by ripping up a Bible. “We stand here today in defiance of their siege and destroy their symbols of oppression,” a female leader told the crowd before ripping pages out of the Bible and throwing them on the floor, the video showed.
A 32-year-old London-based undertaker, who co-runs the Global Order of Satan UK which he claims has seen a 200 percent increase in membership over the last five years said two factors are responsible for the massive increase. The decreasing popularity of “traditional dogmatic religions”, and “a movement towards self-identification and self-realization”.
“This is particularly amongst younger people who don’t want to be identified as part of a prescriptive dogmatic religion and rather want to identify as their own self-beliefs and self-realization – which is what Satanism offers. So we often say that we’re sort of the religion for those who don’t like the oppression of previous religions.”
Chaplain Leopold added that many young people are “turning away from what he claims is now incredibly outdated, and very obviously stuffy views that are completely not in keeping with modern times” – particularly regarding issues such as sexuality and gender identity.
This also coincides with a new report indicating that only half of Americans now say they are sure God exists. That finding, from the closely watched General Social Survey, stands out among several nuggets of new data about religion in America. The report also found that only thirty-four percent of Americans never attend church, which is the highest figure recorded in five decades of surveys.
When we see a major decline in belief in God, coupled with record absence in attendance to any form of religious gatherings it leaves a major void that is being filled with darkness and the forces of evil. Let me explain a little more in detail using the Apostle Paul’s revelation that he shared with the Church in Ephesus.
Here is what he shared with the Church documented in the Book of Ephesians Chapter Six. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand”. – Ephesians 6:10-13
In this passage, Paul revealed to us as believers that all the evil, wickedness, immorality, perversion, murders, violence, and evil that is increasing across the Globe is the result of demonic spirits working behind the scenes or what I would like to say, principalities operating through personalities that are yielded vessels for them to operate through. These are disembodied spirits looking for bodies to carry out their assignments of Hell on Earth.
The Greek word for wrestle in this passage is in relation to pinning an opponent to the ground with your hand on his throat. In ancient Greek, they would wrestle their opponent and gouge out his eyes when defeating him leaving him blind.
We see here that Paul begins to reveal that these demonic spirits are ranked as in the military has rank. He lists this rank as principalities, Powers, Rulers of darkness, and Spiritual Hosts of Wickedness in Heavenly Places. Let’s examine these ranks more closely. First, we have “Principalities.
These are strong spirits that are assigned over nations and cities. Examples of these would be such as the “Prince of Greecia” and the “Prince of Persia”. Both of these were mentioned in the Old Testament and were strong spirits that hindered prayers, caused disruptions, and even attacked the people of God.
In the early nineties when US forces went into Iraq in the Gulf War, they encountered many abnormal and strange events such as sudden sand storms, weather anomalies and even some reported supernatural events.
Many spirit-filled believers and intercessors that were praying and interceeding during that time believed this was the result of the “Prince of Persia” trying to prevent Sadam Hussein from being removed from his position of authority there in that region.
The next rank is “Powers” which seem to be spirits that are under the rank of these “principalities” that actually help aid them in their assignments. Then we have “Rulers of darkness” that appear to be chief spirits that empower people to carry out sinister schemes and evil on the earth.
These could actually be the spirits that influence and even possess world leaders in high positions that carry out evil, demonic, and sinister plans in high places even governmental positions on the Earth. Then lastly, we have these “Spiritual Hosts of Wickedness in Heavenly Places”. These also seem to help aid the agents of the rulers of darkness to carry out assignments of hell.
Now that we have established what we are dealing with in the spiritual World, We can gain a better understanding of why Paul commanded us to “take up the whole armor of God, that we may be able to withstand in the evil day”.
It appears that demonic forces are now becoming so prevalent in America, that Satan is no longer hiding behind the shadows and operating in darkness but is now freely operating in the open square! And sadly, society is no longer repulsed by him and his assignments but is actually being lured into embracing it.
Isaiah the Prophet said they would call evil good, and good evil; They would put darkness for light, and light for darkness; bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! He warned that darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people.
I believe one specific spirit is now being unleashed with the intent to bring America down at her weakest point as a huge majority of Americans have turned from God and many in the Church have even been seduced by this spirit and that is a “perverse spirit”.
Within the ranks of these spirits that we just mentioned from Ephesians, the bible indicates that there are certain spirits that appear to carry out specific attacks. For example, there is an Unclean Spirit, an Evil Spirit, a Spirit of Infirmity, a Lying Spirit, Seducing Spirit, a Spirit of Fear, a Perverse spirit, and a familiar spirit.
I will explain the functions of each of these in more detail in an upcoming podcast on this topic but for now, we see that these spirits attack an individual from multiple angles. The main spirit that I believe is being unleashed like never before upon the Nation is a “Perverse Spirit”
“The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit” – Isaiah 19:14
The word “perverse” by definition is “contrary to the accepted or expected standard or practice”. “the alteration of something from its original course, meaning, or state to a distortion or corruption of what was first intended”. I believe Paul warned about this spirit in the Book of Romans chapter one when he stated the following:
“For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise, also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. – Romans 1:26-27
So we see here that something happens to individuals that causes them to exchange the natural use for what is against nature. I believe Paul answers this question as we read on. “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting” – Romans 8:28
I believe the answer is that these individuals are involved in the practice of sins that they refuse to repent and turn from, and eventually as they get deeper and deeper into immorality it opens the door to a “perverse spirit” and ultimately God gives them over to a debased mind. some translations use the term “reprobate”. This Greek word means a “worthless mind”.
This spirit’s assignment is to bring confusion, destroy procreation and bring individuals into captivity and the will of the enemy and his assignment. As a result of this, this spirit has now taken a stronghold upon these individuals, they begin to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, and unmerciful.
Now let’s examine what has taken front and center in America at this hour. What is being pushed by nearly every major retailer, clothing line, movie industry, music industry, and even the alcohol industry?
Who is now doing “Children’s story hours” in public schools and libraries across America? Is it, not individuals who identify as transgenders, homosexuals, non-binary and the list goes on of identities that would be deemed “unnatural”. Even the US Navy has resorted to using a ‘drag queen influencer’ to attract young people to the military in a hiring crisis.
As all these companies and mainstream media work overtime to call something God called “Unnatural” as “Normal” it is literally transforming the upcoming generation of children to embrace this spirit. In fact, a new report just came out that said that the percentage of people asking Google if they’re “Gay” in some form of fashion has soared 1,300 percent in 19 years.
Another report recently cited that one in four high school students now identify as gay, bisexual, or ‘questioning’ their sexuality. Experts say this explosion in alternative sexualities among children can be partly attributed to increased acceptance of this practice.
However other experts believe that American schools in recent years were partly behind the rise. ‘There is no doubt in my mind that schools are absolutely playing a role in this growth.’ according to Jay Richard, a senior research fellow at the conservative think-tank the Heritage Foundation.
As I bring this discussion to a close, my heart is heavy knowing that Jesus warned that “Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built, but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all, Even so, will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed” – Luke 17:28-30
We know according to history that the Cities of the Plains were filled with sexual immorality so perverse that I can’t even write about these things in this blog along with among other sins that Ezekiel identifies that ultimately resulted in judgment coming and the destruction of these cities sparing only a remnant in that day.
Jesus seems to warn in Luke seventeen that we will see a repeat of this prior to his return and it appears that a perverse spirit has been unleashed upon our Nation that I fear will ultimately result in the destruction of America but God always has a remant in the land. Take heed to what Paul warned us to do and put on the whole armor of God and stand against the evil of this hour! Do not embrace or take heed to this spirit that has even seduced and captured the hearts of Church leaders in this hour.
