A report has revealed that new emojis are now headed your way and one is raising eyebrows. It is being deemed the “pregnant man” emoji. According to the report, Unicode, which approves emoji submissions, is set to introduce “emojis for pregnant people of all genders,” according to Men’s Health.
“The new images will acknowledge trans men and nonbinary people,” the magazine adds. The report reveals that the new emojis will be coming to smartphones on September 14th.
Among the group of new emojis set to be released is what they calling “consistent gender options for pregnancy.” Meaning you might be able to include a pregnant male emoji in your text messages.
