(OPINION) ETH – China has experienced air pollution levels that have soared to severe levels and just seen the worst dust storms in over a decade. In fact, according to Israel 365 News, The capital of Beijing, recently experienced the entire city being engulfed in dust storms three times in just the past five weeks with the visibility dropping to only half a mile.
The report revealed that a giant cloud of sand rolled into Beijing, which was propelled by strong winds from the north of China. with the current storm being the worst in the series, and is expected to continue in the coming days, impacting central and eastern China.
Experts believe that extreme conditions are being fueled by the combination of air pollution and dust from Mongolia, which is currently suffering from a hot and dry spell of weather, being driven by unusually strong winds. The air quality index was reportedly so bad in Beijing that leading officials ordered children, the elderly, and the sick to stay indoors and pleaded with all others to halt nonessential outdoor activities.
These storms were said to not be typical sandstorms but were, in fact, dust storms capable of carrying much smaller particles that travel much further, remain suspended longer, and are far more harmful to humans. Israel 365 News stated: “The concentrations of harmful PM2.5 particles, particulate matter measuring 2.5 micrometers in diameter which is small enough to penetrate human lungs and enter the bloodstream, reached extremes as well.
Frequent exposure to PM2.5 and “coarse” PM10, which is 10 micrometers wide and enters deep into the lungs, is tied to cardiovascular and respiratory diseases and lung cancer”. Some of the spiritually inclined have stated that they believe what is taking place there could very well be the hand of God bringing judgment upon the Nation of China for the shedding of innocent blood and ongoing persecution against believers in God.
