(OPINION) ETH – A new report coming from the House Intelligence Committee is revealing that China is advancing its Nation to become the next leading superpower and advancing toward World domination leading some experts concerned that it will eventually lead to a military conflict in the future.
This comes as a recent video that was released by the Chinese Military showing a simulated attack on America’s Anderson Air Force Base on the island of Guam as well as during a simulated attack on a Pacific island this week, US military personnel reportedly wore a patch on their uniforms featuring a drone over China.
This all comes while the US has been confronting Chinese expansionism in the South China Sea, and China’s multi-faceted attack on American security. The combination of all these factors is raising fears that the two nations could soon be headed for a military confrontation. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently told Fox News’ Life, Liberty, & Levin,
“The greatest external threat that the United States faces over the medium and long term is the threat by the regime in China today, the Chinese communist party led by General Secretary Xi Jinping.” He also stated that China is set on world domination, but he says the Trump Administration is determined to stop it.
