(ETH) – A strong and shallow magnitude 5.9 earthquake has struck eastern Turkey’s Bingol province killing at least one person and injuring two others after two observation towers reportedly collapsed. The report went further to state that seven others were rescued from the wreckage, according to the Daily Sabah.
There has been a report of 18 people who were injured but no one critical, as well as 10 houses that were damaged in the Elmalı and Dinarbey villages of the Yedisu district. Locals stated that the tremor reportedly lasted 8 to 10 seconds.
