(ETH) – Apocalyptic scenes are once again unfolding in the streets of Beijing after a second wave of coronavirus is being reported and Chinese residents are being rounded-up for quarantine according to a report from the Mirror.
In recent footage captured in Xinfadi, large crowds formed in the streets as officials in hazmat suits directed them into buses using megaphones. The new outbreak is being traced to the sprawling Xinfadi wholesale food center in the southwest of Beijing.
According to the report, Seven hotels have been dedicated to the quarantine efforts in a bid to stop further spread of the virus. Beijing has banned high-risk individuals from leaving the city and has halted some transport services today to stop the spread of a fresh outbreak to other cities and provinces.
