(ETH) – AI expert, Dr. Michelle Tempest is warning that Robots will one day raise one in three children in the future, as well as feed, exercise, and teach children as well. Dr. Tempest claims that the droids will also change diapers and tell stories and artificial uteruses will develop fetuses claiming that by the year 2050 parenting will be “entirely optional”.
The doctor claims that parents will only see their children during the holidays. The doctor stresses that Smart baby monitors are already checking on a baby’s breathing and send alerts when a diaper is wet. Dr. Tempest, who is a former NHS doctor, is sounding the alarm on the use of AI. stating that “Parents will become as obsolete as floppy discs are today. “There needs to be a debate about how far we are willing to outsource our lives to technology.”
