OPINION (ETH) – Are we witnessing yet another event that is coming to pass that has been prophesied thousands of years ago? Scientists in Israel are now reporting that they have succeeded in growing a date palm from 2,000-year-old seeds and according to some fulfills an ancient prophecy from the Book of Ezekiel.

“All kinds of trees for food will grow up on both banks of the stream. Their leaves will not wither nor their fruit fail; they will yield new fruit every month because the water for them flows from the Temple. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.” Ezekiel 47:12

According to BIN, The date palm accompanied the Jews when they left Egypt and, according to the prophecy, will reappear in the Messianic era to be watered by rivers flowing from the Temple, giving them special healing qualities that researchers are already seeing appear.
